Mack truck parts & Information

September 1, 2008 | By Richard Prince

Question:

I am restoring a 1960 B61 Mack truck. I have gone online looking for parts but I get no response from ads that I look into. Big Mack Trucks is the only commercial ad that responds. Maybe you can give me a lead on where to find chrome, trim, weather stripping, etc.

Answer:

There are various sources forvintage Mack truck parts, including Mack Trucks (www.macktrucks.com) and Old Macks ( , www.oldmacks.com). There is an extensive listing of additional parts sources on the Mack Museum page of the macktrucks.com website (the link for this particular page is www.macktrucks.com/default.aspx?pageid=40

). It is definitely worthwhile to immerse yourself in the community of likeminded antique Mack enthusiasts. Consider joining the Mack Super-Liner Registry, Antique Truck Club of America (www.antiquetruckclubofamerica.org), and American Truck Historical Society (www.aths.org).
