Is this a “special” Mustang?

Question:

I am restoring a 1966 Mustang. I have three of them at the moment for parts and all the extras. I noticed one day that one of my 1966s doesn’t have reverse lights or the quarter panel emblem beside the door. I checked the VIN and it really is a 1966. What is the difference? Is my car special in some way or is it just weird?

Answer:

All old cars are special in some way! However, I don’t think you have some sort of a one-off factory special. Instead, my best guess is that someone removed the lights and trim from your parts car.
