Chevy didn’t have the only “Suburban...”

Question:

I would like to congratulate General Motors’ Chevy Suburban on its 75th anniversary and your coverage of the event (September). I had no idea it has been around for so many years. I would also like to remind everyone that the DeSoto station wagons of the late 1940s and early ’50s were also called by the same name, “Suburban.”

My wife and I are proud to say that we own 21 Chrysler, Dodge, DeSoto and Plymouth automobiles.

Answer:

A number of people were surprised to learn how long the Chevrolet Suburban nameplate has been around. Thank you for taking the time to express your thoughts and be sure to take note of the following letter.
