Fix your leaking floor jack

May 1, 2008 | By Richard Prince

Question:

I have an ATD Hydraulics hydraulic floor jack (model ATD-7300) that I got years ago. It is a great tool, but I notice that the seal is failing. Is there any fix or routine maintenance I need to do? The jack is still working fine.

The next question—can someone tell me the weight of the new Ford cammer crate engine? This information seems to be classified top secret for some reason.

Answer:

Since you see that your floor jack’s seal is leaking, you definitely should fix it. ATD Tools has eight independent distributors in North America, and you should contact the distributor closest to you in order to find your closest retail dealer. You can then buy the needed seal or any other parts from that retailer. To access contact information for the distributors, go to the ATD website, www.atdtools.com.

According to fordracingparts.com, the 5.0-liter “Cammer” modular crate engine assembly weighs 669 pounds.
