You can use those windows...but they aren’t correct

Question:

I am currently restoring a ’67 Camaro which spent most of its life as a drag car. The previous owner put in Plexiglas windows and tore out the original windows and guts. My question is whether or not 1968 or ’69 windows will fit using 1968 or ’69 hardware.

Answer:

The 1967 Camaros had vent windows in the doors so the regulators and other internal parts were configured accordingly. The 1968-69 Camaros did not come with vent windows so the door’s internal parts were not the same as those used in ’67. You can install later hardware and glass in your ’67, but it will obviously not be correct.
