With regard to the question about what frames will fit a Nomad, I believe that 1959 to 1964 X frames will fit. The 1958 frame looks the same but has slight differences and will not fit. We just put a 1959 four-door sedan frame under a 1959 El Camino. I also have a 1959 sedan delivery and it too has the same frame.
Anyone considering a frame change should look closely at the body mount
locations on anything other than 1959 frames. Our research tells us they are the same up to 1964 but we have not had any hands-on experience with years other than 1959.
