Where to find parts for a 1915 Trumbull cyclecar?

Question:

I share responsibility for the care of the vehicles in the Gerald Sichel Trust Collection in upstate New York. My questions pertain to our 1915 Trumbull cyclecar Model 15B. This car came to us with a noisy rear end, the result of trashed gears. Can you recommend a parts source for NOS, or used replacement gears, copies of any service information, a blueprint of the gears as they should look, the name of a gear maker or any other advice?

Answer:

I am not aware of a parts source for NOS or used original gears for your most unusual vehicle. However, you should look for a manufacturer of specialty or custom gears, a number of which exist throughout the country. They should be are capable of fabricating all types of gears, including those found in the differential of your 1915 Trumbell.
