Vacuum line problems

October 1, 2017 | By Staff

Question:

I recently had to replace and reconfigure the HVAC vacuum lines between the intake manifold and the hard plastic lines going into the firewall on my 1996 Ram 1500. Dorman replacement rubber elbows and straight connectors have not lasted due to the rubber splitting or cracking. I have contacted the manufacturer and they say they have received no other complaints. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
