Some choke parts sources

Question:

I have a family heirloom that I inherited—a 1972 Ford Torino GT fastback. It spent its life in Globe, Arizona, and now resides in Orange County, California. It’s original down to the interior with 77,000 miles on the odometer. It has a 351 cid Cleveland with a factory Motorcraft 4barrel carburetor.

I am trying to keep it as original as possible and am looking for what is called a choke pull off/vacuum assist for the secondaries. To date I have not been able to find one. Most suggest changing out the carburetor but I prefer to keep it original. Do you have any clues as to where I can find one?

Answer:

Contact Jerry at Precision Carburetor ( ) or The Carburetor Doctor (carbkitsource.com). Both are vintage carburetor specialists who may be able to help you locate the part you need.
