More on removing leaf stains

Question:

In regard to the letter in the November issue of Auto Restorer (“Wet leaves stained my car”), I have a better method for removing leaf stains. I live in New England and I have a restored 1981 Chevy pickup which is parked outdoors under trees. I have frequent leaf stains, which I deal with once a year. I wash the truck and apply a generous amount of Nu Finish brand car polish to the stained areas. I then rub the polish in while it is still wet. Stubborn stains take several attempts, but I’ve always succeeded in removing the stains. I then polish the entire truck with Nu Finish, which provides good protection for a year or so. This process is easy to do and doesn’t harm the paint finish.
