Is there any way to fix small dings without using body filler?

Question:

l own a 1965 Ford Fairlane that is in perfect condition except for a few small dings on the passenger-side door. Three different body shops told me they could only fix the dings with body filler. I don’t want filler on my car. Is there another way to fix the dings?

Answer:

A skilled metal worker can, with the use of hand tools and heat, return the distorted metal to “as new” condition. You may have to travel to find someone capable of doing this repair, and you will certainly pay more, but if you are strongly opposed to plastic body filler, this is a viable alternative.
