How do I keep my channel dry?
Question:
I have a 1971 Ford Galaxie and below the rear window there is a channel about a half-inch deep. Should there be weep holes in this channel? If not, how do you stop an accumulation of water here?
Answer:
I don’t believe there were weep holes in the channel you’re referring to. If there were drainage holes in this channel any water that got into there would drain directly into the trunk. The best way to stop water from accumulating in that channel is to seal it with silicone, glass sealant or some similar product.
