A straight-forward engine swap
Question:
I am in the process of restoring a 1998 Dodge Dakota with a 6-cylinder motor. I want to know if it is possible to put this 6-cylinder motor into another 1998 Dodge Dakota that has a V-8 motor in it. I would appreciate any information that you can provide me with.
Answer:
The basic architecture of the 1998 Dodge Dakota is the same whether the truck is equipped with a 6or 8-cylinder engine so there is no reason why you couldn’t install the 6-cylinder engine from one truck into another truck even if the second truck originally came with an 8-cylinder engine.
