Sell this engine and buy another

Question:

I want to install a 1965 389 cid Pontiac engine in a 1965 Chevrolet Impala wagon “B” body.

Where can I get engine frame mounts (the right and left mounts that bolt to the front frame cross member) that the motor mounts attach to?

I’ve checked everywhere I can possibly check, but no luck. I’m sure someone has done this swap before. Is there someone who manufactures frame mounts for this swap?

Answer:

The engine swap you want to do is not exactly common and, quite frankly, I can’t think of a very compelling reason to do it.

Why not just install a big block Chevy engine into the Impala? Even if you already happen to have the 389 Pontiac you can easily sell it and use the money to buy a Chevrolet engine.

If, however, you’re still determined to put the Pontiac power plant in the Impala, you will have to fabricate the engine mounts.
